Samantha Eddis, PhD, has taught or tutored for almost forty years. She has worked, in-person, with students in Hong Kong, London, Florida, and Arizona across a range of subjects and grade levels. She also offers online tutoring to students in many different countries. In addition, Samantha had the opportunity to home educate her four children, and credits the individualized, self-paced learning model as informing and improving her teaching styles and perspectives.
Experienced with teaching IGCSEs and A Levels, Samantha has successfully taught/facilitated many subjects at the Herberger Young Scholars Academy, using traditional methods as well as the best of technology to provide distance learning support or instant feedback. Samantha mainly teaches Humanities subjects, but enjoys STEM subjects and any elective that encourages the creative talents of the students.
Samantha earned her Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics and Biology; her teaching certificate (PGCE) at Roehampton Institute, University of Surrey (UK); and completed her doctorate work at the University of Surrey. In 2018, she completed a Master's degree in Technology and Learning Design (Roehampton University), with an aim to create online learning modules for IGCSE and A-Level students.
