Back to School 2020-21 - Schedule

The First Week of School

As you are already aware, Governor Ducey postponed the start date for public schools in Arizona until August 17th. As a private program, HYSA will begin welcoming students back to the HYSA building beginning August 11th, in a limited and purposeful manner.Following a reduced schedule for the week, our instructors and staff will use these first few days to practice and hone required health and safety protocols with students. A more detailed schedule for the first week will be available soon.

Sample Blended Learning Schedule

Moving forward, HYSA will rely on a blended A/B schedule to minimize building occupancy, while maximizing opportunities to practice proper social distancing. Though the actual schedule and course offerings may differ slightly, you can expect your student’s schedule to look something like the sample below. As part of a trusted cohort, students will attend in-person classes three days one week, and two days the following week. Students also have the option to attend these live classes remotely from home. On days students are scheduled to connect from home, they will continue to participate in their classes through a robust and challenging remote learning modelwith full support from HYSA instructors and staff.
