A-Level

A-Levels are Herberger Young Scholars Academy's college preparatory program. It is centered on the Cambridge International Examinations AS/A Level Curriculum.
This is a two year program where students select from a range of Cambridge courses across the sciences, humanities and math. All Cambridge courses offer the opportunity to earn college credit which is accepted by most universities in the United States.

A-Level students are required to complete two science courses, two English language arts courses, one history course and the Cambridge International Examinations global perspectives course in order to graduate. Most students take additional Cambridge courses over their two years in order to achieve the Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) Diploma.

In addition, A-Level students have the option to attend Arizona State University classes for high school or college credit, pursue mentorships with ASU professors, or internships with business professionals, and participate in our Exchange Program with Dublin City University’s Center for Talented Youth.

The Gary K. Herberger Young Scholars Academy seeks and accepts students for admission without reference to race, color, religion, age, disability, national and ethnic origin, sexual orientation, or gender. Admissions and financial aid decisions are made independently.
