Donating to Herberger Young Scholars Academy

Herberger Young Scholars Academy relies on the generosity of individuals like you to support our students, 45% of whom receive some form of financial assistance.

One of the ways you can support is by taking advantage of the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit by contributing to a School Tuition Organization (STO).

The way the process works is that you, or your business, make a charitable donation to one of several STO's we work with, and you receive a tax-credit from the state of Arizona in the same amount as the donation (limitations and restrictions apply, so check with the STO).

Donations to an STO can even be made in the name of a specific student (but you cannot donate for your child).

While we accept funds from multiple STO's in the course of the year, we work very closely with the following:

Please note: when making a donation to an STO, you must identify Gary K. Herberger Young Scholars Academy as the school you wish to donate to, otherwise we will not necessarily receive the funds.

In addition, if you wish to donate to a specific student (again, you cannot donate for your own child), you must also name that student.

If you have any questions about how STO's or the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit works, please reach out to any of the above STO's, or feel free to contact us: (602) 543-8274 or herbergeracademy@asu.edu.

For your convenience, we have worked with APESF to create a direct donation site that automatically assures your donation will be deposited into the general Herberger Young Scholars Academy Scholarship Fund. For more information about that, please click here.
If you have questions about donating to the Herberger Young Scholars Academy, please call (602) 543-2874.
The Gary K. Herberger Young Scholars Academy seeks and accepts students for admission without reference to race, color, religion, age, disability, national and ethnic origin, sexual orientation, or gender. Admissions and financial aid decisions are made independently.
