School Life


Herberger Young Scholars Academy offers a wide array of sports teams for students to participate in.
As a member of the Canyon Athletic Association, teams compete against other schools from across the Phoenix metro area. Team practices take place in the afternoons, after the school day, and every effort is made to schedule competitions during this time, as well.

Herberger Young Scholars Academy takes advantage of its relationship with Arizona State University to utilize ASU facilities for practice and competitions, including ASU Sun Devil Fitness Center, Courts, Pool and Fields.

Herberger Young Scholars Academy has a long history of success in athletics, including multiple state championships in Chess and Esports.

Although specific sports offerings vary depending on interest, typically the following teams compete during the school year.
