Herberger Students to MathCounts State Champs!
Congratulations to HYSA students Yan-Ru and Liam M. for qualifying for the State Competition in MathCounts.
They advanced through the school level competition to the highly competitive Central Arizona Chapter level and now are part of a select few advancing to the state level.

(MathCounts is an enjoyable, yet challenging math program for United States middle school students and includes both written and oral rounds. One of the fun aspects of this competition is how "mathletes" from different schools can compete against each other in a speed or faceoff round. The math community is very competitive yet very supportive and growth-oriented.)
