Step 4: WISC-V Testing

As part of our application process, we require applicants to submit a summary report from a recent Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, 5th Edition (WISC-V) test.

It is our experience that the information gleaned from this testing provides us with significant insight as to how succesful a student will be in our unique learning environment.

We work with a highly regarded local psychologist to offer WISC-V testing at the school each month, on a cost sharing basis with applicants. Applicants are welcome to take advantage of this testing to meet the application requirements.

If your child has already completed the WISC-V, and the results are not more than 3 years old, you can feel free to submit that summary directly to us in the application uploads.
The Gary K. Herberger Young Scholars Academy seeks and accepts students for admission without reference to race, color, religion, age, disability, national and ethnic origin, sexual orientation, or gender. Admissions and financial aid decisions are made independently.
